Hello lovelies!! Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA on the posts lately, but life has been super busy. I know, no excuses! Well, at least I make it a really great one when I do. I’ve got some amazing recipes coming up in the next week, so please be on the lookout;)
My favorite posts are always the ones on Tuesdays:) as you know, I LOVE MONDAYS, so this is my time to recap all the fun and beauty of my perfect day. Along with a few other things!

Freakin gorgeous and smell devine.
I’ve been playing around with baking using protein powder lately and since I wake up so inhumanly early, I decided to whip something up.
I was attempting to make berry protein muffins using my new fave protein powder….and ummmmm…. My dumb ass forgot to grease the muffin tins…
Sooooo pissed! These were actually really tasty, but I couldn’t even fake a good picture! Ughhh.
So, I’ve decided to hold on the recipe until further notice. Lol
After scarfing down a couple of those muffins, I needed to move my body… I grabbed my iPad to check my WOD on GPP Fitness.
Aces & Eights

My friend and I decided that was just too beautiful of a morning to not hit the mountain for a hike. This would be the “cardio” portion of my day. This amazing spot, little did I know, is location 10 freakin minutes from my house! WTF! How have I never been here!?
This hidden gem is called Franklin Canyon. Easy to get to but not crowded. The BEST! If you live near, you need to go…btw, make sure to come to a COMPLETE stop at the stop sign, they will send you a ticket in the mail. Say cheese!;)
We took Willy, who chased absolutely everything. So annoying, but he needed to get his workout in. There were lizards, squirrels, ducks, rabbits…..
And then…we found this little guy!!!
Poor baby got stuck on the other side of the fence and was trying to climb up it. Aweeeeeeee.
I never knew how much I loved turtles! We got him to the other side.:
This place is stunning! I felt like I was, I don’t know…..somewhere definitely OTHER than LA! For sure going back. It wasn’t the type of hike that was not too strenuous, but we still got our sweat on. We power walked the shit outta that place! Lol
Around 11 am, we headed to one of our local favorite breakfast spots, Sweet Butter. In Sherman Oaks, on Ventura. We sat at one of the outdoor tables, and enjoys iced lattes:)
Check out their sweet little courtyard. I loved what they wrote:) I think they change it everyday.
I ordered a bomb ass veggie omelette… Egg whites filled with roasted corn, and chard roiled asparagus, yellow squash, and tomatoes. Obsession. Yes, I ate the grain toast…and it was perfect!
Our spread….our friend Yasuna met up with us. So, no…. It wasn’t just the two of us gettin’ down on 3 platefuls of food. Lol.
But…..girl gurrrrl was hungrrrryyyy
It’s 12:30.. And that is a skinny 5 calorie margarita in my hand, duh. It’s freakin summer.
Finally I am getting some much needed VITAMIN D! It ended up damn hot in the valley, and luckily my girlfriend’s got a pool in her complex;)
I’m dying for a bit of color!
We laid out..jumped in the pool a bunch, drank Margie’s, read the latest food and health mags, and munched on fresh berries, grapes, and nectarines. Honestly, couldn’t have ask for more this Monday. As I flipped through the pages of Martha Stewart Living, whilst burning my buns, I stopped at this page, and gawked.
How amazing does this spread look!
That’s it….I’m inviting the Amigas over for dinner…
And this is what I will attempt;)
I mean…..this is my favorite way to eat. A little of this..a little of that…
I didn’t have all those things in the pic, but I ad-libbed.
The girls brought over 2 super stinky and amazing cheeses over. ( I’m gonna need Renew Life Probiotics tomorrow:/)

I will tell you now…the three of us almost finished off two blocks of damn cheese. #nowillpower.

I put this together in no time! Pretty much ransack your fridge….and platter that shit.lol.
Here’s what we’ve got here:
* Hard boiled eggs
* Romaine drizzled with blood orange olive oil, champagne vinegar, and pecorino.
* Green Spanish olives
* Leftover lemon,thyme, garlic baked salmon
* Leftover grilled peppercorn pork
* Pesto Zucchini, avocado salad
* Roasted mini red, orange, and yellow peppers
* Sautéed baby Broccoli with crushed garlic and olive oil.
This dinner was special! Yasuna, (on the left) has finally passed her creative presentation! That is how it works when working for Sassoon. Once you qualify as a stylist ( apprenticeship can be 1 1/2 yrs- 2 1/2 yrs) you then, 6 months later, have to come up with a “Final” creative presentation.

This is not an easy task. Finding models on the street that are willing to let you do whatever you want to their hair is HARD! oh, and did I mention, for no pay! Yeah, very hard to pull off. This process pretty much takes over your life for a good chunk of time.
This is us celebrating her getting her life back! Lol. Food…and wine…and movie night;)
We snuggled up and watched The Perfect Host…um, a bit disturbing.

I’m leaving you with a new AMAZING recipe by yours truly. VEGETARIAN….LOW CARB…FRESH…BEAUTIFUL:)
- 2 thinly sliced zucchini ribbons (i used a mandolin)
- 2 tbsp organic pesto
- A handful of sugar snap peas (still in shell) cut into pieces on the diagonal
- ½ an avocado cut into little squares
- ⅛ small sweet onion (thinly sliced on mandolin)
- ½ lemon
- Salt and fresh ground pepper
- Drizzle of olive oil
- Mandolin zucchini and onion. Place in a bowl.
- Add in pesto, lemon, and toss all three together.
- Add in cut snap peas & avocado . Toss.
- Serve and dress with olive oil and salt & pepper.
The perfect summer salad. This recipe is to serve 4. Only 145 calories per serving.
It easy to make, with clean, organic ingredients. Peeps will love you for this;)
