Helllllooooo gorgeous friends….
Let me start off this post by introducing my ridiculous, gluttonous ass dessert from last night. Yikes!
Friends don’t let friends eat SUGAR! FML.
Well, it was delicious, but I knew I would be paying for it in the morning…..
The pretty playing also doesn’t help.
Up at 6:00 though…kicking and screaming.
I decided to try a fasted cardio session this morning. I’m typically the type who likes to nibble on something small before a workout. For some reason, sometimes I get nauseous with nothing in my stomach. But today, I was in desperate need to burn off the late night cals.
So I put a few scoops of BCAA in my water bottle and took off to LA Fitness.
I woke up super tired, and a bit unmotivated, but I persevered!
Once I was there, I turned to beast mode. Duh.
Once I learned of fasted morning cardio, I was hooked. I do this for a week, after a couple days of naughty eating. This is to really lean you out. I don’t do it on the regular, but it’s definitely something in my program …as a go to.
Now, this is something that has to be balanced out with proper nourishment after your workout.
Also, the type of cardio makes a difference as well.
The best combo would be:
– 45 min – 1 hr of HIIT.
– This a.m. I did 1 hour of intervals.
3 min resistance 5..
2 min resistance 10
– This will have your heart rate guessing, helping us to burn more, for longer.
– Drinking BCAA during workout
– post workout, make sure to feel body and muscles with very lean protein.
Egg whites, protein shake, lean meat, lite dairy.
So, I gotta share this… I’m PISSED. this damn machine’s calorie count was sooooo off.it said that I had burned almost 800 hundred cals in my hr workout. There’s no way. I mean I worked out hard, but really??
Yeah, definitely something wrong. I had entered my weight, age, all of it.
Of course, I had on my polar watch and was also wearing my heart transmitter, so I was able to get an accurate calorie count. Thank god. But, you know what? I’m pissed for the people to don’t have access to a watch like this. I mean, poor girl thinkin’ she’s burning all SORTS of cals, little does she know, she’s gotta work a lot harder than she expected to get that number!
Anyway, that was a rude awakening, I’ve had it be off by 50, 60, but by like 200. Get real.
After the gym, I knew willy would be waiting by the door like a little creep, so I rushed home to take him to the park.
He just got a haircut, adorbs. I finally got the groomer lady to stop makin’ him look like a girl!
“I get it, he’s part poodle, but can you puuuuleaseee stop making my dog look like a bitch” is really, what I wanted to say, but clearly too nice to;)
Finally got him to look like the terrier lil boy he is;)
It was a beautiful morning! Not too many folks with their dogs out, so I let him run free for a while.
He ran himself out, which I LOVE, cuz it relaxes the anxiety for when I leave for work.
I stopped him in his tracks, for a photo op. we wanted to show off his pearly whites:)
I swear, he’s like a boyfriend, always acting annoyed to take a damn picture! Lol
Tonight’s plans are as follow:
ZUMBA @ 8
RUN 2-3 MILES WITH JESS (friend from Zumba, we wanna start training together to perhaps enter in a another race.)
AND A GOOD NIGHTS REST.
