Your pooches are not difficult to feed. However, it does not mean you totally can give them any kind of food that you suppose that it is good for their health. In other words, some human foods they cannot eat because their digestions do not allow them to do that. Thus, you should know lots of foods that cannot feed to your dog and make a list at once. Here are some types…
Human foods that you should avoid feeding to your dogs
Milk and other dairy products
Do you think that milk and other dairy products are safe? It is correct for….humans only! This is because pooches do not have amounts of lactase which breaks down lactose ingredients in milk and other dairy products.
So, they will come to their toilet tons of times per day if you feed them. Some dogs likely have digestive upset all the time even they do not get diarrhea. Oh, I almost forgot…some of us can play this similar action if our digestion does not have this enzyme.
Avocados are one of the greatest sources of vitamin E and most of the girls love it pretty much for their beautiful skin.
However, it does not really work well for your pets (dogs, cats, etc.). The pits of avocados can get dangerous for your dogs and these include Persin in their seeds, leaves, bark, and fruits as well.
If you are planting avocados in your backyard, you will need to pay attention to your pooches when they go around the tree and they want to try leaves. Generally speaking, Persin is not injurious to human beings, but this is a toxic ingredient in several dog species.
Raw eggs, meat, and fishes
Some dog owners think that raw foods are good for pooches’ health. For example, they should evade raw meat, fishes, and eggs.
These foods often have bad bacteria such as salmonella and E.coli. The initial signs are likely fever, vomiting, and large lymph nodes. So, consult to your vet before taking raw foods for pooches. You also enable to choose good dry dog food instead. Or you should get a full cook in order to kill the parasite.
This is a great idea for giving a present to someone; especially in the Love Day. It sweets and bitter at the same time like human’s love. However, it is not a good source for your pooches as chocolate contain Theobromine.
This is not dangerous for human beings, but it is an enemy for dog’s health – a toxic ingredient for their bodies! Never feed them bake chocolate or the dark one because dogs can vomit and get diarrhea. Some dogs can get tremors, rhythms, seizures, and even death. So, do not share your bars of chocolate for them!
Fatty meat and bacons
Are you like eating fatty meat and slices of bacon? Uh huh, these foods could be your favorite ones at diets, but do not make these for your pooches! Why? This is because they possibly have pancreatitis in high-fat foods like slices of bacon and other fatty meat.
Furthermore, these types of food contain a huge amount of salt content. So, they enable to have an upset stomach, bloating, and fatal. Keep these foods on your delicious diets only!
Garlic and onions
Undoubtedly, these are perfect for making several foods with attractive smells. Nevertheless, do not put these on your dog’s meals because they probably destroy red blood cells on their bodies. Then, they will have anemia.
Fortunately, when you do not know and take them a small amount in their bowls, it is fine. However, please keep in mind that large dosages or regular doses can cause risky points for their lives.
Some bad signs they can get when eating onions and garlic pretty much such as vomiting, breathlessness, and weakness (on their breath and their immune system).
Yeast dough can create gas in your dog’s digestive system. This is not comfortable feeling and painful when their stomachs have bloating, twist, and so on. This is because yeast generates ethanol and dog eats raw bread is like drinking alcohol.
In general, Xylitol is one of the most popular ingredients in some sweet products such as candies, gum, baked foods, and toothpaste as well. It may not harm for humans in a certain amount, but it could get insulin decreased in other species.
When the amount of insulin increases in their bodies, hypoglycemia occurs. This is the lowered sugar levels and sometimes they can have other worse symptoms such as lethargy, vomiting, seizure, and loss of coordination.
Please bear in mind that when humans consume Xylitol too much, they possibly have liver failure and imbalanced liver enzyme.
Grapes and raisins
Grapes and raisins can cause renal failure to your pooches. Their kidneys possibly begin to get lethargy, vomiting, and death as well. With these tiny seeds, they can prevent the esophagus work well.
What should you do when your dog eats human foods in a secret way?
Imagine that you were a pup and you see lots of foods on the table. You do not know which foods are safe for you and which ones are negative. When you see your master leave the kitchen, this is the best time to try different foods. Yup, do it in a secret way is so fantastic!
You try to consume more foods as quickly as you can. Suddenly, your masters come back to the kitchen in a couple of minutes. Oh my, you have to run as fast as possible and hide! Well, if you see your pooches eat human foods secretly, what should you do?
Well, you probably shout on their faces loud and get mad. However, you should try to calm and think of the solutions.
Most of your foods should be kept out of dog’s reach. Before, you should learn a list of human foods that they should and should not consume.
For example, they can eat meat but they should be cooked. Or sugary and salty foods are not allowed for their health.
You ought to buy foods in the pet shop, but be sure to understand all ingredients in their foods. Also, consult your vet about their healthy diets in advance.
Moreover, you should teach your pooches that they should not eat some foods of humans and they just pay attention to their bowls only.
Hi loves!!! With Halloween behind us, I can’t hardly believe that the end of the year is upon us. As you know, Halloween has never been my favorite holiday, but I loveeeeee fall, so…. I had to show support and at least get dressed up. Here’s a shot of us at my girlfriend Kelly’s house. She threw a great lil party. Honestly….I have absolutely no clue what I was supposed to be, but, it kind of resembled a sheriff from New Mexico. Of course, a bit of a sexy version. Whatever. Lol.

Ok, moving on to more fall news;) finally time to start getting rid of some of these sugar pumpkins all over my house. From decoration into my belly!!! I decided to cut this puppy up, and roast it.
Pumpkin is pretty tough in texture and typically takes quite some tie to roast and soften in the oven, so I cut it up into small squares to speed up the cooking. A lil impatient you could say…..
Here’s an idea of what to do with the seeds when you remove them from the inside of the pumpkin. Lord knows…I HATE wasting food. SWEET CACAO ROASTED PUMPKIN SEEDS.
These little pumpkin bites were roasted with:
SALT & PEPPER
Roast at 400* for 40 minutes.
(note: pumpkin in itself isn’t very sweet. Do not get confused with “canned” pumpkin. When roasting real pumpkin, if you want it sweet, make sure to add a bit more honey to compensate for the bitterness.)
As you all know, Halloween comes with copious amounts of candy, on candy, on CANDY!!!!! Shit candy, really. Kit Kat, twix, snickers, ughhhhhhhhhh! I’m not gonna lie….I did give in and have a few. C’mon…who really didn’t have ANY shit candy?????

I was a lucky son of a bitch to get to sample these sweet but slightly salty beer & Pretzel caramels. We have the best time when she comes into the salon. If I’m gonna get down on some sugar, I’d seriously prefer for it to be in this form; handmade with local ingredients, organic, & homemade with love! This is the best way to enjoy sweets my sweets! How freakin cute is there packaging though!!!???

November is here!!!!! This is how naughty I’ve been…. I haven’t been posting enough, I know. We went from the end of oct-the begging of Nov without a post! Wtf! Well, November pretty much came so fast, it practically slapped me in the face! This past Sunday ( November 2) was a a very special day.
My best friend Alicia (on the right) and I, along with close family and friends ran the 6th annual Heroes of Hope grey ribbon crusade to continue brain cancer research, in which all proceeds benefit childhood and adult brain tumor research at UCLA, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Cedars-Sinai Hospital. Alicia’s uncle was recently diagnosed with a lrg brain tumor and is currently undergoing chemo through Cedars-Sinai. We pray that he recovers and continues to live a healthy and cancer free life.
Sporting my new Saucony “The guide 7” running shoes that they so graciously gifted to us at the Fitness magazine “Meet & Tweet” event.
The event was held at beautiful Dockweiler State Beach Park. I was surprised that the fog rolled out fairly early. We ran in sunny & beautiful weather:) Absolute best part: Loads and loads of supporters showed up!
For some reason, I thought we were gonna be running a 10k but apparently we signed up for the 5k. Whatever, I was just stoked to be running by the beach. It was actually perfect because I haven’t really been running lately, so a 10k at 7:30 am prooooobably wasn’t the best idea for my problematic, not trained feet. Lol. The 5k was perfect and super fun!
I came in 69th place. With a time of 26.38. Not too shabby! Well, for me;)
Any time, after a run….I am famished. Lol.

Ok, so I didn’t actually do this whole workout today. Reason being, that I knew I had to teach Zumba at 7 pm and seriously thought it may be too much on my body. Sometimes, you just gotta be honest with yourself. I couldn’t do it.
My class was fantastic though and we had a great time finding out inner sexy bitch.
I surprised myself when I decided to stay for the next class, which was body sculpting.
Oh girllllllll! My body said “oh hell no!”
I immediately filled my tub with Morton’s Epsom salt, grabbed some reading material and soaked! Soaked my tired and sore muscles. Womp womppppppp.

Ahhhhhh! Hi lovelies! I’ve got to catch you up! So, this week officially marks my first week with Wednesdays off from the salon;) wooooohoooooo. Also, this Wednesday is my first ZUMBA class! Oooommmgggggg. They don’t know what’s comin’…I’m about to go ZUMBA crazy on their asses. Also what I think I may start doing, is posting a new dance once every couple of weeks on the blog, that way students can refer to the post to learn the dance before coming to class. After zumba, I have the pleasure of visiting the dentist…sooooo fun! Luckily, no cavities:)
Lunch was again, roasted leftover veggies, along with some red lentils (Trader Joe’s) in low sodium broth, cayenne, turmeric, yellow curry powder, cumin, paprika, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Cooked on low till lentils are soft and soaked.

The afternoon seemed quite hectic. Mondays usually go by way to fast, my list of errands keeps getting bigger and busier. I had planned to double up classes this later this evening, but my body said. “Ummm, NO.” My tummy was killing me ;( womp wooooomp. I sound like such a whiner, gross. I ended up taking it easy at home, catching up on some reading. My sweet client sent me this article knowing that I’m a huge fan of juicing and the vitamix. APPARENTLY, it’s all the craze:)

A handful ( palm of hand ) equals to a serving.
No, I did NOT eat all three quest bars, but my girlfriend Haley surprised me with 3 bars of her new favorite flavor for me to try, and I just had to share my heavenly experience with MISS. Chocolate brownie. Holy sweet party in your mouth!!!

Didn’t spend too much time in the kitchen today, but I did manage to bust out a batch of my favorite Blueberry Protein Muffins. They are super easy and take no time! You know me, meal prep Monday;)
Tonight was all about me. I wasn’t feeling my best. I laid down and actually took a nap, which absolutely never pans out for me. This time I was out for at least 2 hrs. Sooooo nice. Never made it to my back to back classes, but I did get in for a 9 p.m hour long massage.
There’s an amazing place around the corner from my house, called Foot Inspiration, that I can’t get enough of. I’m trying to get 1 massage a week, but paying $75 for an hour/ once a wk was outta the question, so this place is the bomb. It’s considered a reflexology massage. They really do hit every pressure point all over your body. I strip down to a sports bra, and booty shorts, since it is more of an ” out in the open” kinda place. I must say, I slept like a cozy lil baby!
Last but not least…I saw this on instagram last night, and thought, ” What a perfect way to start the month!” So here you go, courtesy of my insta friends;)

Today is officially the first day of SPRING, and I am on it like white on rice! Stopped at the farmers market this weekend and picked up some beautiful fresh flowers to brighten up the house. I am feeling spring, FOR SURE, except that…for some reason….I’m in all black today. Hmmmm. Weird.
I went a little overboard with all the damn flowers, lol. It may or may not be a bit much.
So, as you all know, I’m gearing up to teach Zumba, so this weekend was full of practicing. Writing down the routine helps immensely… One DVD after another…
Not as much as dancing the routine in front of the mirror though!! I would catch up on some bills, and blogging, then jump into a routine while yelling out Q’s. Lord bless my neighbors. Loud Latin music, yelling, and stomping. Keeping it classy.
Later that day, I joined the Sandy Campy Fitness team for a meeting about the new upcoming schedule. I will be teaching Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am, and Thursday nights at 8:00pm. We had loads of fun, ate delicious pot stickers and a raw kale salad. Oh, I forgot…..and BOMB ASS chocolate mousse cake. Yummmmmmmmmm. Sandy is so sweet. Before we left, she gave each one of us a cute little heart shaped gem stone on a chain. Along with the stone, we also got a list of different gems and what each color stands for. Love my new team:)
Made sure to take time to do a bit of grocery shopping as well. Trying a few new things.

My most exciting purchase this weekend! I’ve been looking for the perfect Popsicle molds and hallelujah!!! I have found them! I stopped into Crate & Barrel and of course, wanted to buy everything…and saw these from the corner of my eye. The best part was, they were 13 bucks for 6 molds! Please do follow one of my favorite instagram friends who inspired me to start making protein pops. FITALICIOUS_ME. Time for summer…and ice cream;)
Best news of all!! I taught a song in Sandy’s class last night! My first time front and center:) It was AWESOME! The room was full of fantastic vibes, and I had my Spartos to keep me hydrated and full of energy!

Hey guys! Hope the week was amazing for all of you! It’s a gorgeous day in sunny LA, and I’m sooooo looking forward to a weekend laying by a pool somewhere;) can you tell, I’m so ready for summer? This post is primarily focused on breakfast recipes. I’ve been getting a lot of questions lately specially about my protein pancakes, so he they are!

So now, I invite you all to enjoy Saturday morning breakfast with me. Well, Sunday brunch too;) I’ve got some yummy low carb, protein filled, über healthy recipes for you to try this weekend!
I never skip breakfast, and neither should you. After all, it is the most important meal of the day, and those who know me, know, I eat like a queen in the morning. It sets the tone for your day, so make it count, and make it clean!
The whole “oats” thing is new to me I must admit. Being on a pretty strict Low carb diet, (with the occasional carb/sugar binge) I never really got into them…but now that I’ve upped my cardio and weight training, I’ve been advised that perhaps incorporating these fiber packed bad boys into my diet, it would be super benefitial.
So here it goes,
CHOCOLATE COCONUT PROTEIN OATS ( with banana..optional)
1 packet or scoop of About Time chocolate/peanut butter whey protein
3/4 cup organic oats
1 tbsp unsweetened shredded coconut
2 tbsp fromage blanc ( I use Vermont creamery)
1 tbsp raw cacao nibs
1/2 cup silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1/2 cup water
4 drops stevia
Optional : vanilla extract and 1/4 cut up banana
Pour oats in a bowl.
Add milk and water and microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes or boil milk and water and pour into bowl of oats. Whatever is easier. Add in the rest of your ingredients, mix well and top with banana. Let sit to allow for the oats to soften.
Next up…. The recipe everyone keeps asking me about;) Protein pancakes!
There are so many different ways to enjoy these pancakes. The foundation is easy. Simple…just your favorite protein powder along with 3 egg whites, and add whatever you want to the mix or for a topping.
- 1 large scoop of vanilla whey protein
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tbsp canned pumpkin
- a pinch of cinnamon
- a pinch of nutmeg
- (vanilla extract optional)
- 4 drops stevia
- Pre heat a skillet. (batter can be quite runny.
- grease with a bit of coconut oil, or smart balance spray.
- in a bowl, mix dry ingredients first, then add egg whites.
- mix well, to ensure no clumps.
- spoon in batter.
- they cook really quick, so keep your eye out
Seriously breakfast never looked so good. I’m sure you’ve noticed by now…I’m finally adding proper nutritional info for all of the recipes I post on here now;)
Ok, so this next recipe is from a friend, fitchick428 on instagram! This chick is FIT, and is constantly knocking it outta the park. I follow her religiously and her recipes are nothing short of delicious and, of course, CLEAN,CLEAN CLEAN!! She posted these pretty little donuts and I couldn’t help, but get my ass in the kitchen to try them out. They were so good I had 2 1/2 donuts in one sitting with my coffee and had absolutely no guilt about it. None:)

- ¼ cup + 2 tbsp almond flour
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- 2 tsp psyllium husks or flax meal
- ¼ cup baking stevia or erythritol (or coconut sugar for paleo)
- ½ tsp baking powder
- 1 egg
- 2 lrg egg whites
- ¼ cup blueberries fresh or dried (no sugar added)
- non stick spray or coconut oil
- Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray your donut pan with non stick spray (or coat with coconut oil).
- In a bowl combine all your dry ingredients: almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium, stevia and baking powder. In a second bowl whisk together your egg, egg white, vanilla and coconut milk.
- Combine your wet and dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Fold in your dried blueberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among 4 donut molds.
- Bake for ~ 20 minutes or until the spring back when touched.
CINNAMON PUMPKIN MINI MUFFINS WITH ALMOND/MAPLE GLAZE
I absolutely LOVE anything pumpkin. It’s a great source of fiber and always make me feel like autumn is in the air:) Although not at all the case, the flavor is something I can’t get enough of. I suppose you could also sub pumpkin for sweet potato or butternut squash, but I haven’t tried it yet. This is my third time making these, and I swear, never fails, I can never just have one:)
- ¼ cup pure unsweetened canned pumpkin
- 1½ scoops vanilla whey protein
- 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice or (cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger)
- (or sub these last two ingredients with GASPARI NUTRITION Myofusion Pro- Cinnamon roll)
- 2 tbsp coconut flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ⅓ cup egg whites
- 2 tsp almond butter
- just under ¼ cup sugar free maple syrup (recommended: Vermont by maple grove)
- dash of cinnamon
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a bowl, mix all ingredients for the muffin batter
- Spoon into a small cupcake pan that has been sprayed with non-sticking cooking spray.
- Place in oven and bake for about 10-14 minutes. Be careful not to overcook.
- Remove from oven, and allow the rolls to cool slightly.
- Microwave the glaze ingredients for about 15-20 seconds. Remove from microwave and stir well.
- Dip tops of mini muffins in the glaze mixture, set on a rack or plate to cool and sprinkle with cinnamon.
- To maximize freshness, store leftovers in fridge.

I love her tag line.

#1: DUKKAH seasoning by Trader Joe’s.
I haven’t used it yet, but excited to try it.
Dukkah is a savory nut and spice blend of Middle Eastern origin.You can use as a rub or crust for chicken and fish, as a seasoning for vegetables.
#2: FLACKERS! my absolute favorite low carb cracker option. Love having these at the house. Super guilt free. Created by a doctor, these bad boys are gluten free, low carb and low glycemic. They offer loads of fiber and are really high in omegas. They are made up of flax seeds and spices. Nothing hidden or ingredients you can’t pronounce. You can find these online or at your local health food store. I’m completely obsessed with them!
#3: 10 MIN. FARRO by Trader Joe’s. I’ve never cooked farro before, so I’m curious to try it out in the recipe she sent along with the package pictured below. It’s considered a whole grain, a good source of fiber, aids in lowering cholesterol. AND, high in vitamins in minerals.
Also considered a “Smart Carb”
Farro’s complex carbs break down slowly, keeping your energy level stable. The grain also has cyanogenic glucosides, a type of carb that may boost the immune system.
#4: YOGI GINGER TEA. If there is anything I need, it’s help in the digestion department! Holy, digestive issues. It’s caffeine free, so this has been lovely to drink up at night. It helps to sooth the tummy after a meal. Also, the taste of ginger isn’t so overwhelming, which I appreciate.
#5: MARCONA ALMONDS roasted and salted with rosemary..OOOOOMMMMGGGGG. I mean, never have I EVER had something so amazing and flavorful. WOW! I highly recommend these. They are naturally a bit oily, but enjoy it as a treat.

Today, I woke up feeling refreshed. Maybe cuz I allowed a bit of extra sleep-in time. First things first… Coffee. Espresso with almond milk to be exact. The fave in the house. You guys seriously, get a Nespresso Pixie with the froth. I’m not kidding, one of my Prized possessions. I finished off the last two cookies from the batch;)
Then made my 3rd green smoothie of the week since I purchased the Vitamix. It’s FANTASTIC. I can’t wait to make some soups in there, since its been cold, cozy weather lately over here in LA. Yes, the freakin thing actually heats up to make soup, because the blade is soooo strong, and creates a friction. Pretty crazy.

The workday today was super busy, so I really didn’t have time to take pics of lunch and snacks. For some reason I’ve been super hungry the last couple days. All I want to do is snack all day. Ugh. Do you guys ever have days like that? So annoying. At least, FINALLY, the chocolates are gone from the staff room! They were the devil. No more holiday sweets Puuuuuleeease, I’m soooo over that shit.
My lunch was a BIG ass salad, with everything you could think of in it.
– egg whites
– Swiss chard
– goat cheese
– pumpkin seeds
Really, no lie, HUGE.
My snacks today were:
– roasted seaweed snacks from trader’s
– a guava
– kale chips
– a handful of raw walnuts
Such a snacks lady today… Ugh just get me to Zumba already.
Class wasn’t till 8:30 p.m. So I got to relax at home with Willy for a couple hours before class. Since I knew 9:30- 10 p.m is wayyyy to late to eat, I reheated my latest creation for dinner:)
I call them my ” Pink Magic Mushrooms”
They are soooo freakin good, and sooo hearty. The texture of the portobello makes you think your having a big ol’ slab of meat, when really, you’re having something super lean. That’s why I luvvv em’. These, I stuffed with rainbow chard,( my fave, and hence, the pink color) garlic, skim cheeses, onion, Greek yogurt, and some other super goodness!

Most of you know that I’ve been really trying to improve my ” no f*%#ing lighting in my house situation” so I was super excited to get home and rip through this box. Yeayyyyyyyy! Finally:)

Now, I was really ready to sweat out some frustration. 8:00 rolled around, so I took off to Zumba. A couple of girlfriends met me there from work to take the class as well, so tonight was extra fun! We went alllll out! This class is phenomenal…
I, of course wore my Polar watch and transmitter to measure my heart rate, calories burned, and to track my fitness goal for the week.
689 calories burned!
WHAAAAAAAAAAT! that’s what I needed. I’ve never sweat so much.
It was Haley’s first time taking the class, and she freakin rocked the house. She picked up all the choreography, like it was her J-O-B!. That’s right gurrrrrrl. So much fun. This is what it’s about, finding something you love, and stickin to it;)
Apart from Zumba, as you know, I just built my at home cutie little gym, so I’m always on the lookout to share some at home workouts ANYONE can get down with. Especially when you don’t have a lot of time.

I hope you’ve been enjoying the recipes! I’ve been eating them up like a crazy! Today feels like its been jam PACKED. I had to be at work at 9 a.m. this morning, so, no gym for me. Instead, I busted out the Lebert equalizer, and did a quick 15 min powerhouse circuit. Of course I woke up ready for some yum in the tum I had a a quick breakfast. CG bran crisp bread, with some raw hemp butter, and Nature’s Hollow sugar free preserves. Oh yeah, sprinkled with raw cacao nibs. BOMB.
If you’ve never heard of the Lebert Equalizer, you have NOW! These things are genius. Great for agility training, pull ups, push ups, dips, you name it. They are perfect if you haven’t got the space to do too much. I first heard of them through my girls at Purely Twins. I am so grateful, I immediately ordered them online.
I was dying after! Quick but effective. Strength trading using your own body weight. The only rest is between set one and two. My muscles were burning. Morning sweat sesh… A SUCCESS.

After my workout, I was in the mood for a cookie with my coffee. I’ve always been more of a “sweets for breakfast” kinda gal, so when I found this recipe, I knew it was perfect for me! It’s packed full of the perfect blend of carbs, protein, and fat. Mostly protein:) the carb comes from the banana. I will post the recipe soon!! It took all of 15 minutes! Freakin no time!

The “extremist” came out in me, and “moderation” was out of the question, so I walked away after 2.

Although today was quite busy, I managed to squeeze in getting my color did. Just my roots. Yes I have grey…not much, but, no thanks.

While I processed, I put together my packed lunchie… Queen of the perfect bite, you can imagine my everything-in-one salad!
-1 can wild salmon with lemon, salt, and pepper
-1 tbsp raw salsa
– leftover homemade Zuchinni pasta with sundries tomatoes, pesto, walnuts,and marinated artichoke hearts on top
– a dollop of spicy hummus
Tossed all together= PERFECT BITE

After work, i heajded straight To the studio.You may have taken a local Zumba class, maybe at your gym? Well, nothing compares to this class. Taught by Sandy Campanella, a trained dancer at some of the top schools, brings something very special to the table. Great choreography (this ain’t jazzercise), amazing physical challenge,, and always full of energy. I will be doing a whole Q & A with her coming up, so be on the lookout!
Btw, I reckon I burned 500 cals.
